  I don’t know of any scientifically documented report of mermaids on our earth, so at this time, I’ll have to say that I don’t think they exist…
  
  I suspect that because so much of the earth is made of water, it makes sense that people long ago made all sorts of stories to help them imagine what was underneath the water, since they didn’t have cameras and the fancy surveying technology that we have these days!
