Rape is a very violent and horrible act that is committed by a person (or persons) who truly wants to hurt another by forcing them into a sexual act. It is a very painful and distressing event physically, emotionally and psychologically. One might feel pain, shame, fear, distress, anger, helplessness, numbness, and all sorts of emotions.
If you/anyone you know deals with such an traumatic event, it is important to first let them know that that it is not (and never will be) the victims fault.
Next, reach out to an adult/safe person that you know so that you can get help:
