      Not entirely sure? I think that the training to become a geneticist is achieved by becoming a physician, then you specialize from there? To be an academic geneticist, you’d need a Bachelors degree (4years), then possibly a PhD(4-6yrs) and perhaps more specialized training depending on what specifically you’re trying to do….

      Are you wanting to be a consultant to families dealing with genetic diseases? or a researcher who is discovering how genetic diseases affect people? or a doctor who wants to treat people who struggle from specific genetic diseases?
