Question: Why does a person suffering from aids take long to die when taking medication?

Hmmm.. likely because their medication is helping them to extend their lifetime by helping the body to resist the attack from the HIV virus.

Medicine like any other treatment, works towards helping the body fight infectious agents. ARVs taken by HIV positive individuals assist in keeping the amount of virus in the body low hence one can live for long with proper diet and a healthy lifestyle
