@534bm1925
The main purpose is education while at high school,
I would say its okay have a healthy friendship with guys but not a romantic kind since the consequences might lead early pregnancies and one is not ready for children and end up ruining your goals and aspirations

This is not the appropriate time for a boyfriend. I would suggest avoiding romantic relationships while still in school; the consequences including break-ups, depression/stress, unwanted pregnancy, a sexually transmitted disease…etc can be devastating. I emphasize focusing on your studies first to improve your future prospects such as a career in science and a better boyfriend. However, you may have general friends

Have as many friends as possible from both gender as long as the relationship is enhancing your academic success. High school students are mostly teenagers undergoing major hormonal changes. most of the time you are tempted to experiment on things like romance. All I can advise is there is time for everything. In high school focus on your grades!

Eh… worthwhile relationships take a lot of time and concerted effort to build/maintain and in high school one usually has many other commitments and much stress….
However, having said that, everyone’s life/relationship trajectory is different so I can’t really tell you what is “right” or “wrong” here…..
What I’d recommend is making lots of meaningful, healthy friendships with all sorts of people both male and female, some of which might then form the foundation for romantic relationships later on?
