Types of science needed: physics, chemistry, applied mathematics, and some biology.
The equations and formulas in this field are used to describe kinetics, material and energy balances, thermodynamics, energy and mass transfer, separations technologies, fluid mechanics, kinetics of chemical reactions, process design etc.
